Just another beautiful thing

November 28, 2008

Made for babies. The thing (what’s it called in English?) is so light it moves by the slightest breath of air, it is almost translucent, the afternoon sun shines through the discs and makes the angels look alive. But the baby doesn’t give a shit. The baby doesn’t look at the thing for more than a few seconds. Well, well. I give her ten or 15 years, then she will put it up in her room for decoration.

Little girl’s dress

November 13, 2008

It’s been a while since I made this little dress and I think I’ve already blogged about it. My excuse for bringing it up again is that, since the last time I wrote about it, the actual wearer of the dress has appeared. I designed the pattern myself, very easy and basic, and I will publish it as a free download on Ravelry (yes, I managed to make a hyperlink! Thanks to my change fron Safari to Firefox)as soon as I get around to it. It’s a practical little garment, actually. Warm, but not too warm, and it can be worn for any possible occation your little baby girl is headed for. I knit it in a thin alpaca yarn on needle 3 mm. Well, more details will come in the pattern.
